The future is now. Gone are the days where you would have to flip through the Yellow Pages and choose a random Chinese restaurant to call and arrange to pick up your dinner.
The app revolution has enabled us to do everything within our mobile devices. Order a taxi, shop online, pay our bills, transfer money, and this year especially we’ve seen a boom in the food delivery service space thanks to Foodora, Deliveroo and Uber Eats. More and more restaurants are jumping on board which means more and more excuses to stay at home, where pants are not required. Fonda, Din Tai Fung, New Shanghai, Brother Burger, Schnitz and loads more have just joined the Foodora platform.
Din Tai Fung is one of our favourite dumplings in Melbourne and their dumplings taste just as good in the comfort of your own home.
Their Xiao Long Bao is their specialty, little steamed pork buns filled with a broth. I was surprised they made it through the delivery – with only one little guy who was bled out all his juice, but still tasted great.
The spicy shrimp and pork wontons on noodles are another favourite, the Sichuan chilli sauce creates an addictive numbing tingle.
Dumplings are the perfect crowd pleaser of foods and it’s so easy to get them now that they're on Foodora! Din Tai Fung have a very solid menu, everything is delicious so it’s hard to go wrong. The only piece of advice would be to order the Xiao Long Bao and spicy shrimp wontons.
