Founded in Paris in 1862, Ladurée is known for their opulent macaroons and tea houses. Since their first opening, this global patisserie has expanded across the world including two stores in Sydney, and now their first in Melbourne.
The brand new site is located within the $660M redevelopment of Chadstone, where the grid-shell high ceiling lets all of the natural light flow through creating an illusion of being outdoors. The perfect setting for high tea accompanied by a white marble bar and all of the pastel colours that co-ordinate with their macarons.
The staple macaron flavours such as, vanilla, rose and salted caramel are up for temptation along with seasonal flavours such as blackcurrant, tonka bean and black liquorice.
Sandwiches, individually wrapped and crusts-off, filled with either ham, cucumber and apple, salmon and a few other options inspired by a Parisian picnic. If only our childhood sandwiches tasted this good.
Simple and elegant, just like everything in Paris. All of it is available to take home in beautifully designed boxes, and we also get our very own 'Melbourne' box. They even have chocolate treats, tea, key rings and scented candles. A one-stop-shop for a Parisienne love affair.
