Colonial Brewing Co 2.0

Wednesday the 23rd November 2016 marks the launch of Colonial Brewing Co 2.0 - The younger more advanced brewery of their older sibling in Margaret River, Western Australia.

The launch event hosted by the fabulous Kirrily Waldhorn showcased the approachable, no-frills mingling space at the entrance of the brewery, as well as the light-filled room at the back that functions as everything. A modern beer garden, function space, food trucks on Fridays, brewing of beers and the whole canning line that brings the magic from the tank to their cans; it all happens in that room. Decked out with upside-down trees and a stunning mural by illustrator Ian Mutch, who also designed the artwork on their Small Ale can. The high ceilings and rays of natural light bring a calming atmosphere to the table, the incredible voice of an acoustic singer, Nussy, really helped too.

Colonial Brewing Co tapped its first keg in 2004 in WA producing Draught, I.P.A., Pale Ale, and Small Ale. The Port Melbourne brewery enables them to triple their production. With such a great product, it only makes sense to bring the goodness to the east coast and beyond. Their entire beer range is produced only in cans following their brand motto - live uncomplicated. They’ve taken the can to the next level with a 360 lid which not only is a lot of fun but also makes drinking beer that much easier. Another feature is thermal ink on the can which turns blue when the beer is cold enough for consumption.

Open to the public on Thursdays with $10 Pizza + Pot as well as Food Truck Friday’s with rotating food trucks on site. More details on their website here.
